Please read the WHOLE post before commenting!

PLEASE DO NOT POST

• Requests for a release date
• Anything related to the current generation EE (unless in comparison)
• Repeats of what is already in the list
• Questions about the future device and FW (all of this is unknown anyway)
• Angry mob posts

As most of you have seen in the thread about FW 3.1, it looks like PU is intending on releasing a new device:
DevinPU wrote:
Right now, a lot of concentration is being put towards making a stronger device with better tech specs for the release of the PS4 and next Xbox.

This thread is dedicated to getting your input on features you would like to see in this potential new device whether it be physical, firmware related or in the Eagle Edit software. Any item that has a " " has been confirmed by PU as being part of the next gen unit.

It took a long time, but below is a compilation of the items requested in the FW 3.1 topic and as items are requested, I will update the list to keep it clean. If you don’t see something that you have previously requested, let me know and I’ll put it into the list. If you can think of any way for me to improve the layout of this post or would like to see another section added, please feel free to PM me to give me your input.

Thank you!

Firmware:
• Mouse Freeze for the 360
• Flight Mode for BF3
• Support for more mice and keyboards - Please suggest particular models
    o Microsoft Sidewinder (M)
o The Corsair FPS mech (KB)
    o Mionix Naos 5000 (M)
• Map more than 1 key/button per action
• Toggle key option
• Sixaxis support
• Combos/macros with the ability to abort them by moving or allow movement whilst they are still running
• Adjustable turbo rates
• More dead zones
• Sony Navigation controller support
• Minimum EE sensitivity to be even less sensitive than 1 (like 0.125x its values of less)
• Negative acceleration customizable with the scroll-wheel
• Walk button : 50% of the left joystick position
• Ability to map one button to multiple places on the keyboard
• Ability to use keyboard for responding to messages
• Set a delay for buttons
• Ability to adjust the sensitivity for diagonal 45 degree movement
• Ability to add annotation or notes to *km file
• Scope mode working with EVERY single key on the keyboard or standard HID mouse buttons
• A secondary scope mode/flight mode to go alongside the other ADS mode; Compatible with every key
• More than 2 key maps on the EEC
• Option to lock the function keys (F1-F12)
• Separate F6 (save configuration) and F7 (factory restore)
• Allow mapping of mouse/keyboard to either analog
• Have EE and console controller both set to controller 1
• 180 degree quick turn option
• Absolute dead zone neutralization - Spherical dead zone shape and not 5 point dead zone
• Mouse acceleration
• Allow for a key command to switch key maps instead of relying on a physical switch; essentially allowing for a finite number of configurations being loaded
• Ability to use more than one EE on a console for local multiplayer
• Support for wireless peripherals
• Push To Talk feature
• Desktop mode (use as a USB Hub for desktop)
• 2 player mode allow more than one mouse and keyboard OR allow another EEC to connect to it
• Gyroscope support via USB controller plugin
Will work on either system Xbox 360/PS3 without the need for a firmware update

Hardware:
• USB splitter/native support to use wired headsets (Xbox)
• Splitter to plug in a PS/Xbox/PC controller or joystick
• Blue LED
• Mouse and keyboard can be plugged into the EE when updating key configurations on the PC
• Better hardware recognition (console recognizes EE on first plugin)
• EE can plug into both PC and console so configurationss can be loaded without having to unplug/plugin again – something like a KVM minus the V
• Internal power source to eliminate using a USB hub
• Two models of EEC? (Affordable base model / more expensive full feature model)
• Touchscreen LCD
• Ethernet port to upload, download and update it
• 4-6 USB ports 3 USB ports confirmed
• Micro SD card slot
• Dual BIOS ANTI BRICK back up feature
Backwards compatible with PS3/Xbox 360

Eagle Edit:
• Ability to test keyboards and mice for compatibility
• Print button to print out the mapped keys/calibrations
• Instead of separate FWs for each console, allow the selection from within Eagle Edit

Could Fit Into More Than One Category:
• Notification as to what firmware the device has installed
• Mac and Linux support in addition to Windows
• Ability to use EE and console controller as a specified controller; ex. both are controller 1
• Having the ability to edit your current config on the fly using a PC

• Support for wireless peripherals

Some things that the new EEC WILL have:

--3 USB ports so that chat won't be impeded again on an Xbox.
--Easier to do calibrations, and more for those looking for it.
--It also might not actually need a computer to map and everything
--TONS more keymap slots
--More compatibility for devices

There's been some weird stuff tossed around too. For example, we are considering makeing it possible to use the EEC to directly access and download and upload to the database. There was also another idea to create a way to create EEC function through apps. For example, you would download a combo app if you wanted combos on your EEC. It would also let people create their own apps and functions on the EEC. That last one seems SUPER difficult and is probably going to be left behind, but we are considering it as it was part of the original vision.

I think a huge thing would be having a switch to allow the mouse and keyboard raw signals to come thru the USB ports. I posted long ago asking if a hot key or something could be added... this would allow me to use my mouse and keyboard plugged in to my system as a normal mouse and keyboard and type quick messages then pop back to controller mode...

I hate having to use a device switch to switch my kb and mouse to go back to my ps3 around the EE just to type a message.

Thanks for the input Devin!

As PU is able to comment on the new device, I will start marking confirmed features with the " " icon so that people have an idea of what to expect.

Also, I like the idea of being able to control everything from the EE as far as uploads and downloads go. While it doesn't seem like much time to switch from console to PC and back again while uploading new configs, it will definitely save lots of time in the long run.

Alvarez - This is already in the list.

That's at least where I'm trying to push the development. I'll also see if we can get some sort of way to use the keyboard like normal. Maybe a mappable key or something. Really people, suggestions are what's going to build this product. We'll try to put in anything that we think people really, really want if it's possible.

It is possible to add support for driving wheels through the new EE?? It would be nice to have the possibility to use our current $500+ wheels with the new consoles.

It would be really nice to have the ability to use the kb/mouse and the gamepad under the same controller id, if possible (like the main menu of the PS3, where both controllers works together).

I just use the eagle eye when controlling my soldier and tanks (even with the low transverse speed for the turret). For choppers and jets, I just keep the plain gamepad.

However, when my chopper get hit and it's about to explode, I need to hold the PS button, change controller from 1 to 2 (or vice versa) to change from gamepad to eagle eye, losing lots of time (and usually killed).

It would be great just to lay down the gamepad and start to play right away with the eagle-eye under that circumstances (entering and leaving vehicles).

Best regards,
Lunatico

@Lunatico - I'll add that to the list, but I believe this is a limitation of the console.

There may be a way to make some sort of pass-through for the controller to be seen instead of the EE, but would probably still require some sort of button/key command to switch. Currently the EE essentially acts as a PS3 controller so what you are asking would essentially be the same as asking for two PS3 controllers to be used as controller 1.

My guess is this is not possible so I wouldn't get my hopes up, but in the event that PU can develop some sort of pass-through, who knows.
