I have a G500 but I prefer the deathadder 3500 with the eec

I now have a mamba 2012 but haven't tried it with the eec yet, that's the best mouse i've ever used lol :)

While I prefer the g500, I can see prefering the Deathadder simply because you get more customization with their software.

That's because of the sensor.

The deathadder uses an Avago ADNS-S3888 Infrared optical sensor, well know as a flawless sensor, only down part might be the ''high'' lift off distance (3.6 mm).
The g500 uses an Avago ADNS-S9500 laser sensor, well know as a non 1-1 ratio sensor : adds like a ~5% positive acceleration and jitters on cloth mat.

Generally, I prefer optical sensors because they provides smoother and generally more accurate tracking on any mousemat. They are also cheaper. (ex: DA3500, G400)
Laser sensors can go way higher in DPI and they usually don't like cloth mousepad but works on more unusual surfaces than optical. Cost more $$$. (ex: G500, Steelseries Xai)

So, I can confirm that my 3500dpi Deathadder tracks way better on almost any surfaces than the 5700 dpi G500. Even worst I'm a cloth pad player so I was getting a jittery tracking with a weird acceleration lol :cry: .

On PC, drivers can compensate for all the tracking issues and it's less noticeable there than on the EEc where there's no driver for that.

@Devin

Well I think that the setpoint are superior than the razer's drivers, they're more easy to use and less confusing imo.

Some of you might think I'm a razer fanboy. Yes and no, only reason why like them is because they make better gaming mouse with good design.

My advice for the logitech fans is to buy the g400 over the g500, Also check this vid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVrQ3L09h9I
Cheap 40$ vs 70 for a better tracking. Simple and looks great :D
I might get one this year :)

I have the mamba 2012 and Imperator 4G mouse. I know that the mamba is working since it's listed in the compatibility list. I'll try the Imperator 4G when i received my EEC.

BTW I saw swifty using the razer anansi keyboard on his you tube channel. Does the FW3.0 support most of the 2.0 keyboard and mouse?

I'll be using the poll once i got my EEC. cheers and have a nice day.
